Ingredients

  • 100 gsugar
  • 1 tbspvanilla sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 2 tbspcornstarch
  • 4 tbspflour
  • 800 mlmilk
  • 80 gbutter
  • 500 gpuff pastry cookies

Instructions

  1. Whisk sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs until smooth; stir in cornstarch and flour.

  2. Pour in milk, bring to a boil on the stovetop, whisking constantly.

  3. Off the heat, stir in butter until melted.

  4. Arrange puff pastry cookies in a 22 cm form and layer with the warm custard.

  5. Crush a few cookies for topping and coat the cake on all sides.

  6. Chill for at least , preferably overnight, before slicing.
